Agneepath Movie Information

Agneepath is an action thriller film remake of the 1990 Hindi film of the same name. It is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Karan Johar’s former assistant Karan Malhotra. Hrithik Roshan will play the lead role, originally played by Amitabh Bachchan. Priyanka Chopra will be the female lead. The character played by Mithun Chakraborty has been totally done away with in the remake. The main villain will be played by Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor will play another negative character. It has been reported thatZarina Wahab will play Hrithik’s mother. Shooting took place in Mumbai’s film city and Diu, India.

BHGSG News - TORONTO, Canada - January 10, 2012: Pop diva Beyoncé and rapper husband Jay-Z are the proud parents of a baby girl, media reports said Sunday, breaking the news of one of the biggest celebrity births in years.

Beyoncé, 30, gave birth by caesarian section on Saturday night in a private wing of the Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan with husband Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, by her side, entertainment website E! Online reported.

Initial reports had the new showbiz princess named Ivy Blue, but close friends of the superstar couple later confirmed it was the other way around, although Beyoncé’s hometown paper, the Houston Chronicle, spelled it Blu Ivy.

The Twitterverse was abuzz with reactions from celebrities and fans alike.

“Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already,” Hollywood starlet Gwyneth Paltrow wrote.

“The most beautiful girl in the world,” said Beyoncé’s younger sister, Solange Knowles, while fellow pop diva Rihanna tweeted: “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.”

Beyoncé checked into the hospital on Manhattan’s upper East Side late Friday under the name “Ingrid Jackson,” renting out its entire fourth floor for US$1.3-million, the New York Daily News reported.

On Saturday night, people were seen bringing bags of food and wine into the hospital, apparently for celebrations, as security guards patrolled the perimeter.

Beyoncé, who rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of R&B girl group Destiny’s Child, now has has 12 top 10 pop singles in the United States as a solo artist and has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.

She has also earned 16 Grammy Awards, three more than 42-year-old husband Jay-Z, who is regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time and has sold approximately 50 million albums.

Beyoncé memorably revealed that she was pregnant at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, telling reporters during a red-carpet chat: “I have a surprise!” as she cradled her swollen belly.

Twitter-users fired off a record number of tweets per second following the announcement.

Blue Ivy is their first child.

A source told the Houston Chronicle, “Blu” is for Jay-Z’s hugely successful 2001 “The Blueprint” album and “Ivy” for the roman numeral IV for 4. Beyonce was born on September 4, her mother on January 4 and Jay-Z on December 4.

The decibel level in the auditorium, which was already high, skyrocketed when the actor made an entry. Swaying to his hit Chammak Challo, King Khan subsequently got all the three kid finalists to perform a song of his choice. Adnan Sami had the audience swinging with his tribute to Shammi Kapoor, even as wife Roya Faryabi and ZEEL MD and CEO Punit Goenka watched.

The highlights of the evening included winner Azmat Hussain’s terrific entry seated within a robot. Mentors Kailash Kher and Javed Ali looked on with pride as the kids competed in a climactic act for the grand trophy. Incidentally SRK found his match in funsters Manish Paul and Jay Soni as they shared a witty repartee. This is a film I'm pretty excited about, and I can't really tell you why. The Dirty Picture is the upcoming Bollywood biopic of south Indian actress Silk Smitha. Smitha was an item girl and actor in a number of South Indian films and a few Hindi films mostly known for her use of her own sexuality and her boldness in a time when Indian films were still a bit more chaste than they are today. Her film career began in 1979 and ran through 1996, when she was found dead of an apparent suicide in her Chennai apartment.

The circumstances of her death are still somewhat mysterious, and she left behind a legacy that touches many present day Indian actors and producers. In the last year of her life, she'd been trying to move from the front of the camera into film production, but a number of complications led to her becoming disillusioned and destitute financially, and it is these problems that are suspected to have led to her demise.

The film has a pretty solid cast, and its director, Milan Luthria, is coming off a hit with last year's Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. The cast is led by Vidya Balan as Smitha. Balan is no stranger to critical success, and is rumored to have put on weight to play the role of Smitha, who was far curvier than most current Indian actresses. It may not sound like much, but intentionally putting on weight is not something any actress, and certainly not an Indian one, will do without fear of consequences. Supporting Balan will be Naseeruddin Shah as Tamil star Rajnikanth, as well as Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor in as yet unnamed roles.

The Dirty Picture comes from ALT Productions, which is the same production house that had recent success with Ragini MMS and Love, Sex, aur Dhoka. ALT is no stranger to controversy and loves pushing the envelope, so I think we're in for a treat. Good or bad, I don't think The Dirty Picture will be boring. Below is the first fifteen second teaser for the film, it ain't much, but it's a start. The Dirty Picture is expected to release December 2nd.
