The film was a success but Riya Sen was in no mood to get into a signing spree. Waiting patiently for the right roles to come her way, the pretty young girl, who has also been seen in successful films like Shaadi No. 1, Plan, Qayamat, Jhankaar Beats and last but not the least Style, has been keeping herself busy by being a part of item songs.

Her mini appearance amongst a horde of girls was definitely noticed as she burnt the dance floor in the sizzling title song from the film Heyy Babyy (2007).

The song turned out to be a chartbuster and Riya was noticed once again in spite of the presence of a dozen odd sexy sirens like Celina Jaitley, Koena Mitra and Amisha Patel amongst others.Now she has got a platform set for herself to make a further impression with the film Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein where she has got an entire item song shot exclusively on her.Titled “Sajan Mera”, a number where Riya is seen in yet another $izzling avatar, it also features the film’s lead Sarwar Ahuja who appears to be all pensive and troubled as per the demand of the situation in the song.

Along with Sarwar, who had debuted with Khanna & Iyer last year, the film also stars Tabassum’s grand daughter Khushi, who would be making her debut as a leading lady. The film is produced by Rajesh Gupta and directed by Manish Goel.Incidentally Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein was recently in news since the makers had gone on record to state that Riya wasn’t cooperating with them for the promotion of the film.

Apparently Riya, who has a cameo role in Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein, felt that the makers only wanted to cash in on her name and popularity to promote the film. This is why she was demanding close to Rs.3 lakh just to promote the film.Though there hasn’t been an official word on this from Riya, the makers have made it clear that they won’t bow down to her demands since the film’s promotion was planned with an extremely tight budget.

Katrina will also be required to speak in a certain dialect, for which she is undergoing voice modulation classes.Katrina says, “My role in Rajniti has different shades – I start off in a particular way and end up as a completely changed character. The character is immensely challenging and it is a huge responsibility to carry it off. I am very excited to work with Prakash Jha, who is known for his particular brand of cinema and believes in involving himself in every department of his films. I’ll soon be leaving for Bhopal to shoot for the film, where I have scenes with a crowd of around 500 people and I am gearing up for it.”

(NSI News Source Info) February 3, 2009: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her business partner Raj Kundra on Tuesday bought a 12 per cent stake in the Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals , the inaugural champions of the Twenty20 event.Shetty and Kundra, a UK-based entrepreneur, are reportedly set to invest $ 15.4 million in the team, which is led by Australian spin legend Shane Warne and has international stars like South African skipper Graeme Smith and Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson in its fold.
“They have bought an approximately 12 per cent stake in the team,” Rajasthan Royals owner Manoj Badale told reporters in Mumbai .
Shetty thus becomes the third Bollywood star after Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta to buy a stake in IPL teams.
While Shah Rukh owns Kolkata Knight Riders , Preity has a stake in Kings XI Punjab , the semi-finalists last year.
Shetty said she would have a role in the team’s promotional activities this year. “I will be promoting the team. Perhaps a music video will also come,” she quipped.
