B&HGSG News: TV Aliens And The Humans Who Love Them "Battlestar Galactica" (1978-79, 2003-09)
(NSI News Source Info) - November 4, 2009: It would require a Ph.D. in sci-fi to determine whether the Cylons of the various "Battlestar Galactica" TV series are really robots or aliens or some kind of rabid bioengineered hybrid, so let's just refer to them as a "cybernetic civilization" like Wikipedia does and count them as aliens for our purposes. (The Cylons of the original series were descended from an ancient reptilian alien race, so that's close enough for me.) In the more recent series, Cylons look like humans and prefer mating with them to one of their own because they need the "true love" of a human to conceive. Humans like Helo (Tahmoh Penikett) and Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) end up mating with Cylons over the course of the series, whether they know they're Cylons at the time or not. It's kind of hotter when they don't.
