(NSI News Source Info) My Desk YYZ - January 17, 2010: The group MUGHAL-E-AZAM is being floated by sheer coincidence at a dinner gathering recently, majority of members are from the Indian subcontinent, the name of the group was brought forward and purposed by Sat Sharma and accepted by all, which reflects peace, prosperity and harmony among people of the Indian subcontinent.
The founding members of MUGHAL-E-AZAM's group are Bawa's, Chopra's, Rao's, Seth's & Sharma's and expect to expand rapidly, any entity can apply for membership, irrespective of cast, creed and religion, but subject to by-laws of GTA and ICC Code of Conducts & Ethics, which would be announced at a later date respectively.During the course of first meeting Mac Rao was persistent to establish motive and agenda for the Group, for which all seconded his proposals;
1) The Group shall create peace, prosperity and harmony among people of the Indian subcontinent and other communities in Canada.
2) The Group shall innovate new ventures suitable with respect to their expertise.
3) The Group would meet once every month or on festive occasions.
4) The Group agenda of the day was "GLOBAL WARMING" and "POLLUTION", reflecting and
effecting every entity on this planet. Pollution has been further enhanced to various subjects and products including "SMOKING", which is hazardous to health and second hand smoking cause health damage to third party, a campaign is being planned.
In the following next quorum of the Group, the aforementioned aspects as well membership issue would be discussed, hopefully finalized.
Members of the Group were provided with Kabir Amritwani CDs, which itself on hearing dohas (couplets) are a blessing. Kabīr (also Kabīra) (Hindi: कबीर, Punjabi: ਕਬੀਰ, Urdu: کبير (1440—1518) was a mystic composer and saint of India, whose literature has greatly influenced the Bhakti movement of India. Six hundred years ago Kabir was born in India in 1398 AD. He lived for 120 years and is said to have relinquished his body in 1518.
