(NSI News Source Info) January 7, 2009: Nine Broadway productions — including “Hairspray,” “Young Frankenstein,” “Boeing-Boeing,” “13” and “Grease” — closed for good on Sunday night, some as expected and others as a result of declining audiences in tough economic times.
The cast members of "Hairspray" took their final bow on Sunday. Almost half of the current lineup on Broadway will close by the end of January.
