The “Eyes Wide Shut” actress schmoozed with party guests, including her “Australia” director Baz Luhrman at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, and even gave a speech at the event.Speaking of “Australia,” Luhrman recently addressed the public’s bad feedback to Kidman’s work in the epic movie, calling the criticism “nasty.”
He commented, “Both Nicole and I, when you do what we do, really have to ignore it. But ‘annoying is an understatement… as nasty as you can be is the game. He who slags the most is the coolest. It’s nasty.”
