(NSI News Source Info) NEW YORK, NY - November 1, 2009: The Parents Television Council is warning parents about the Britney Spears song “If U Seek Amy” and urging radio stations not to broadcast it because the nonprofit organization believes it “would violate the broadcast indecency law” if aired between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saying the title phrase quickly out loud produces a sound akin to spelling out the F-word, said PTC president Tim Winter. “There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song, and it’s certainly not about a girl named Amy,” he said of the track, the third single from Spears’ new Jive album, “Circus.”
“It’s one thing for a song with these lyrics to be included on a CD so that fans who wish to hear it can do so, but it’s an entirely different matter when this song is played over the publicly-owned airwaves, especially at a time when children are likely to be in the listening audience,” Winter says.
Founded in 1995, the PTC describes itself as “a nonpartisan education organization advocating responsible entertainment.” Jive was unavailable for comment on the PTC’s advisory.
The controversy isn’t stopping U.S. radio from playing “If You Seek Amy.” Six top 40 stations have the song in rotation this week, enough to place the track at No. 92 on the Billboard Pop 100 chart. Leading the pack is WFLZ-Tampa, Fla., which has played it 19 times.
“We’re confident the version of the song we air is not crossing any lines,” program director Tommy Chuck told Billboard.com, adding that WFLX plays a Jive-created edit of the song that changes “Seek” to “See” as well as a jokey version in which morning host MJ shouts his name every time the word “Amy” appears.

Officials said Madonna flew out of the southern African country on Friday. The 51-year-old celebrity arrived in the impoverished country on Sunday accompanied by her four children — daughters Lourdes and Mercy, and sons Rocco and David. Mercy and David were adopted from Malawi.
While in Malawi, she broke ground for her $15 million Raising Malawi Academy for Girls and visited the orphanage that cared for her son David before she adopted him.
Madonna’s Raising Malawi, a charity founded in 2006 when she first visited the country, helps feed, educate and provide medical care for some of Malawi’s orphans.
Malawi, a nation of 12 million, is one of the poorest countries in the world. About 500,000 children have lost a parent to AIDS.

In a session moderated by Hindustan Times Advisory Editorial Director Vir Sanghvi here, Saif flaunted the ‘Kareena’ tattoo that he had on his arm making his love for his girlfriend very evident. He also announced that he’s very much committed to girlfriend Kareena. But at the same time, the couple didn’t miss the opportunity to make it very clear that they are in “no rush to get married”.
When asked about their marriage plans, Kareena said, “For now, Saif has to work on his production house. And I still have a lot more to do in terms of doing different kinds of roles in films.” To this Saif jokingly added, “In our profession, it’s exciting that people keep on asking us about our marriage plans.” But the couple didn’t completely deny their wedding plans, and Kareena assured that it would surely happen someday, while Saif reassured that he’s committed to Kareena.
Talking about how Saif and Kareena first met, Saif said that he saw her when she was 14, and at that moment he got the feeling that she’s going to be a movie star. Saif also said that he fell in love with Kareena because of her look and her smile. And having a rather personal statement like that coming from beau at a public platform, Kareena was seen blushing, “Saifu, don’t embarrass me,” she said.
On the other hand, while talking about the way her career graph has been, Kareena said that her films and roles have undergone a major change. There was a time, when she was written-off and there was a newspaper carrying the news that Kareena is finished. She had cried the whole night but her mother Babita supported her and asked her to face the situation with courage. Kareena also said that her sister Karisma is her role model.
When asked would she go behind the camera like her legendary granddad Raj Kapoor and father Randhir Kapoor, she said: "As of now I am getting good roles, so not now. But yeah, I don't rule that out... one day I might direct."
Kareena is very passionate and particular about her roles. "I like to know who is going to be the director of photography of my film. How am I going to look. Mostly what happens is when a script is narrated to you, it doesn't turn out to be the same on screen. So an actor has to know all this," she said.
The actress also said that she was never size-zero. “That was a term coined by people. I am what I am because of my body of work and not my body,” she said. She also said that the secret of her slim figure is Yoga and not a gym-work-out. “I can do a 100 suryanamaskars in a day. When I started out, I could do just eight or nine,” the actress added proudly.

It seems that they have put their differences behind them and will be seen in Abbas Mustan's Hollywood remake flick 'Italian Job'. The Abhishek Kareena Jodi were last seen in 'Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon' way back in 2003. Ironically, both Abhishek and Kareena made their debut in Bollywood together with J. P. Dutta's 'Refugee'.

This 'Italian Job' remake, which is yet untitled, will also star Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh. Currently the directors are yet working on the script and the film will be ready to go on floors anytime next year.

It is also learnt that initially Abbas Mustan were considering Saif Ali Khan opposite Kareena Kapoor but due to unavailability of dates, Saif had to be replaced with Abhishek.

Now it will be really nice to see Abhishek and Kareena back together after a long time and especially at a time when both of these actors are on the peak of their career.

(NSI News Source Info) MUMBAI, India - October 31, 2009: He does a full monty in Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming movie 'Jail', but Neil Nitin Mukesh insists the nude scenes won't distract any mother because the narrative is high on emotional quotient.
"I was asked to strip down completely and the only question before doing the scene that I had in mind was - what would be my parents' reaction when they watch the film? Would they be ashamed of me as their son? But I think they'll be extremely proud of me as an actor to have gone ahead and done it with a lot of courage," Neil told us in an interview.
"In fact, no mother sitting in the audience will be distracted with the skin show in the film. My character Parag Dixit is extremely high on emotional quotient and people are going to be attached to that. I don't want anybody to notice the body in that scene and if someone still gets distracted, then probably he or she is not yet connected to the character," added the 27-year-old.
But wasn't he apprehensive about going full monty?
"There was a slight hesitation initially in the sense that I was a bit shy in terms of taking off the clothes, thinking it was for a billion people. But I was confident that Madhur sir will handle it with a lot of grace and dignity, which he has," said the young actor who debuted in an unconventional role in 'Johnny Gaddar'.
Co-produced by Percept Picture Company and Bhandarkar Entertainment, 'Jail' is the hard-hitting yet sensitive tale of an ordinary man who finds himself inside a prison due to a series of unfortunate events.
Releasing Nov 6, it also stars Manoj Bajpai in a pivotal role with Mugdha Godse in the female lead.
Asked about the controversy over the nude scene, Neil said: "I won't say it is blown out of proportion. It deserves the attention it has been getting because it is for the first time that an actor has gone ahead and done something like this. Though that was not the motive behind it; it was to actually project what really happens inside a jail.
"And it's a reality-based film, so we wanted to portray and show everything that actually happens with jail inmates. This is one of the most important, crucial and initial procedures that one really goes through in a jail.
"We couldn't take that off and go a step ahead because people who are law-abiding or have studied law and belong to the system would obviously know this is one process that has been completely ignored," he explained.
The actor, who was last seen in the hit movie "New York", also had to get rid of his muscular body for the role in 'Jail'.
"When I came back after doing 'New York', I was in the greatest shape of my life. But when I met Madhur, he told me to lose all my muscle and get into the character of Parag Dixit and leave Neil Nitin Mukesh aside," he said.
Not many know that the four-film-old actor tried his hand at the "method-acting approach" for the film.
"I adopted the method-acting approach for 'Jail' because otherwise I wouldn't have identified with the character. Somewhere on the screen it would have faltered and looked rehearsed. I didn't want to prepare at all before I did the scenes," he said.
"In fact, I asked Madhur sir to shoot the film in a chronological order from first to last and that's what he has done, so that I could live the life of Parag Dixit and the graph could grow that way," he added.
Neil's future projects include films with Pradeep Sarkar and Abbas-Mustan while his 'Tera Kya Hoga Johnny' is waiting to roll out.

'Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna hai' directed by Ramesh Talwar is Sinha's home production under the banner of 'Shotgun films' which is "a mature romantic movie and ready for release shortly," said the actor.
The 63-year-old actor said that he is doing the film with Rekha after 30 years of "strained" relationship. They were last seen in 1988 'Khoon Bhari Maang'.
"She (Rekha) went offensive on my some unintentional comments and we did not talk for 30 years before reuniting for the present movie," he said adding that his wife Poonam Sinha played a crucial role in breaking ice in our relationship.
Despite hectic political engagements, the actor said that his love for films remains intact.
"I have not said goodbye to the movies...I manage time to do some selected ones," the actor said.
Sinha, who was among early Bollywood stars to venture into politics, joined BJP in early 80s at the highest peak of his film career.
When asked how he managed to divide time between shooting for the film and politics Sinha said, "I found time in between BJP decision not to renominate me for Rajya Sabha from home state Bihar for the third term and entering fray for the Lok Sabha poll to complete the shooting quietly."
"Through my hard work I manage to strike a balance between the real and reel life," he added.

"I know everyone's eager to know about the wedding date. All I can say is yes it's been finalised and I will make an official announcement as soon as I know when Shamita's coming out," Shilpa, who got engaged to London-based Raj Kundra Saturday after a courtship of about two years, posted on her blog.
Shamita is currently participating in the Colors' reality show 'Bigg Boss 3'. She is locked in the house with 10 more inmates and has no connection with the world outside.
Shilpa says she missed her sister.
"It's been a time of both joy and sorrow for me. The joy is obvious because Raj and I feel happy to take our relationship to the next level, but as most of you know my sister Shamita is still in the 'Bigg Boss' house and could not attend. She doesn't even know.
"The date was decided a week ago and we all came to the consensus that we should go ahead because another good mahurat (auspicious time) was a long way off. And considering Raj's parents and relatives were down from London for a week, so it seemed convenient," she wrote.
"I wanted to have Shamita there during this special moment, but I had to be considerate towards Raj's family too. So for all those who wanted to know why I went ahead without Shamita, it was a difficult decision but this is the answer."
Shilpa admits that when her sister comes out of 'Bigg Boss' house, the news of the engagement will shock her.
"I know Shamita will be shocked... she'll kill me. Missed her more than words can describe but I'm sure she'll understand! Can't wait to show her my ring," she wrote.
So far Shilpa has not commented on her sister's stay in 'Bigg Boss' house. But now she says that she is proud of Shamita.
"I've never commented on what I think of her in there, but just want to say she's been the pampered baby in our house. It made our whole family so proud to see her have no airs and do all the chores with no qualms," wrote Shilpa who won the British reality show "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2007.
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra is finally getting engaged to him on October 24. The actress has been postponing marriage with her beau Raj.
The wedding will be in December in Mumbai, with a reception in London.
According to media reports, Shilpa’s publicist has confirmed the news by saying that couple will exchange the rings and the ceremony will be a private affair, only for the family members.
Shilpa is getting engaged when her sister is under house arrest in the reality show Bigg Boss.

"I am happy and also honoured to see 'Rita' opening the India Frames at the festival," Renuka, who teamed with Shah Rukh Khan in popular TV series "Circus", told IANS.
Based on the novel "Rita Welinkar" written by Renuka's mother Shanta Gokhle, "Rita" stars Jackie Shroff and Pallavi Joshi in the lead roles.
It is the story of a woman who is forced to give up on her dream at a tender age for the sake of her family. Certain situations lead her to an emotional breakdown and finally she bonds with a childhood friend who has herself has been buried in an unrewarding marriage.
"I have removed the surname from the title of my film because it is about a girl's identity. This film talks about Rita who starts to finding herself after she becomes a psychiatric patient," said Renuka.
Renuka, who has been in the industry for 20 years and featured in serials like "Sailaab" and "Imtihaan", says she was always interested in direction. She had assisted Vijay Mehta in the TV series "Lifeline".
Asked why she chose to do the film in Marathi, she said: "As it is my first movie, I wanted to do it from a comfort zone and that is why I stuck to my mother tongue."
"Rita" is already in the cinemas and has garnered rave reviews both from the audience and critic.
"In Pune, the film has already completed 50 days. It had got good reviews from the audiences as well as the critics," said Renuka, who bid adieu to acting after marrying actor Ashutosh Rana in 2001. She keeps busy with her two kids.
"I can't work in mega serials as there is little scope of creativity and now it has become more of a factory, channels are running after TRPs," said Renuka, who was also seen as Salman Khan's sister-in-law in the hit film "Hum Aapke Hain Koun?".

(NSI News Source Info) MUMBAI, India - October 31, 2009: Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, ace director Priyadarshan and animation major Toonz Animation have joined hands to prepare a Rs.20 crore 3D animation film titled "Twinergy".

Addressing reporters on the eve of Technopark-based Toonz celebrating its first decade of operations, its CEO P.Jayakumar said that the pre-production work is over and the production of the film has commenced.
"This is a 90-minute 3D animation film in English. Bachchan cleared this story after hearing seven ideas from us. We had a three-hour discussion with him in Hyderabad where he was assisted by Abhishek and Aishwaraya. At the end of it, he zeroed in on three and finally gave the nod for 'Twinergy' ," said Jayakumar.
The film tells the tale of a royal family, united by love and divided by misunderstanding and how they adopt two twins into their fold.
The funds for this mega project have been arranged by Toonz and Priyadarshan is expected to spend a week here in the Toonz studio and would again join the team when the post-production work begins.
"The post-production part will happen in Mumbai because Bachchan is particular about the quality of post-production. The film would be released hopefully by Diwali next year," said Jayakumar.
Toonz Animation has emerged as the preferred one-stop studio for entertainment majors and its client list includes Walt Disney, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures Corporation, Hallmark Entertainment Productions, Lionsgate Entertainment, Cartoon Network, BBC, Sony Entertainment and Marvel Characters.
Elaborating on their initial years, Jayakumar said that the initial years were tough and they lost a lot of money.
"But now things have changed and our pipeline is full for the next three years. Now we are in a position to select what we wish to do and we have now started to outsource work to Korea, the Philippines and China. We are now making money," he added.
Toonz today employs 350 professionals in the studio here with a good spread of expatriate animators.
They have also set up an academy for training animators and by now they have 11 centres in the country here and their first overseas centre is now opening shortly in Jordan.
