Manisha Koirala Ready For A Solid Comeback!

Manisha Koirala Ready For A Solid Comeback!
(NSI News Source Info) January 24, 2009: Manisha Koirala has been coming back time to time… the last comeback I remember is some crap called Mehbooba co-starring Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt… There were some similar films before that… I forget their names.

But, Manisha Koirala is apparently getting ready for a big comeback with a Mani Ratnam film. Her earlier Mani Ratnam films Bombay and Dil Se got her a lot of appreciation and she hopes to repeat the same with her comeback film.
Manisha is said to have lost oodles of weight for this slightly gray role she has in the Mani flick. Hope that works for her.

Munnabhai Baney Politician!

Munnabhai Baney Politician!
(NSI News Source Info) January 19, 2009: Sanjay ‘Munnabhai’ Dutt surprised everyone as he took a plunge into politics. The news flashed all around as he was given the court’s permission to contest the upcoming elections when there was much hullabaloo against his entry into politics.
We hear that Samajwadi Party’s Amar Singh who has strong ties with the Bachchan family encouraged Sanju to join politics and offered him his party’s ticket to contest from the Lucknow constituency. We got a clear cut and a much needed comment from Sanjay Dutt over that and he also talks about his political plans.
“Yes. He spoke to me about joining politics when I went to meet him in Delhi. Amar Singhji is like an elder brother to me. He thought I should enter politics because I’m capable of helping people in society.
When he said this to me I felt so honoured. That he should think of me in this way after all I’ve gone through, boosted my morale tremendously.
As he pointed out to me, I’ve been helping to fight cancer and drug abuse. Now I’m ready to do more, much more.”
When he went to Lucknow, some people really wanted to rain on his parade by putting up posters saying “We dont want a Terrorist.”
“These were just a handful of people with vested interests seeking publicity. They can’t hurt me. I know politics wont be easy for me.
I know a lot of things will be said. But I’ve been facing brickbats for twenty years. I’m used to it.
What more can words do to me? If the honourable court allows me to contest elections and gives me a chance to make myself useful to the country I’ll prove to these detractors that my past isn’t going to colour my future.”
We wish you good luck Munnabhai… We wish you spread around some jadoo ki jhappis and a some of the little Gandhigiri that you have learnt in your life.

Sanjay Dutt Enters Politics / Munnabhai Enters Politics!
(NSI News Source Info) January 10, 2009: It was a surprise announcement from Samajwadi Party on Thursday when it came out that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt would be its candidate from Lucknow for the Lok Sabha elections “subject to clearance by the Supreme Court and the Election Commission.” Mr. Dutt, who had been sentenced by the High Court under the Arms Act, would be the party’s star campaigner in the elections. Announcing the party’s first list of 29 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections after a meeting of the Central Parliamentary Board here on Thursday, party general secretary Amar Singh said, “Like a BJP MP, who is a known cricketer, was allowed to contest despite being convicted, we too will try our best to field Sanjay Dutt. If we fail, he will certainly be our star campaigner.”
He also claimed that Sanjay Dutt had agreed to contest. “Dutt told me you are like my elder brother. He said he would do anything I ask him to though he said he was not a political person,” Singh said.
Mr. Singh also said that recently the United Nations made him their global ambassador on malnutrition. “Since we are an ally of the Congress and Sanjay’s sister Priya is a Congress MP, we hope the party would be happy.”

Manyata goes on piligrimage but without Sanjay

Manyata goes on piligrimage but without Sanjay
(NSI News Source Info) Mumbai - January 6, 2009: Sanjay Dutt's wife Manyata has reportedly left for the famed Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu and Kashmir to pray, but minus her husband.
She has left behind Sanjay to spend time with his three best friends, who live in different parts of the world. They were in Mumbai for the New Year and Sanjay was keen to spend some more time with them.
"Manyata left for Vaishno Devi after their New Year's party with some girl pals for three days. Initially, Sanjay, who never says no to his wife, agreed to come along. But then she saw his heart was set on enjoying the time he had with his buddies whom he rarely gets to see because of his schedules," said a source close to the couple told IANS.
"These guys have been his closest friends from childhood and are no part of the film industry. Though he has many close friends in the industry like Suniel Shetty and Bunty Walia, these three non-film friends are Sanjay's closest confidantes. He tries to get them to come over whenever he has some time off," added the source.
Manyata didn't have the heart to drag her husband away to Vaishno Devi.
"Though she really wanted her husband to accompany her, she didn't want to deprive him of his precious time with his pals. She decided to make this trip to Vaishno Devi an all-girls' thing while Sanjay chilled out with buddies, watched films and played games, back home before he resumes shooting later this week."
The year is a decisive year for the Dutts, Sanjay Dutt Productions is about to take off and they've signed some of the best directors in the business.
"Ideally, Manyata would've wanted her husband to pray. But since he was in the mood to play, she let him be. There's a perception that she has been alienating her husband from his pals. Manyata wants to end that."
Incidentally, the Dutts' New Year party was not a low-key affair by choice.
"They had invited everyone, but hardly anyone was in town," said the source.

A peek at Dabbo Ratnani’s 2009 calendar
(NSI News Source Info) January, 2009: New Year calendars with Bollywood celebrities adding glaour and glitter to it are the most awaited part of any oncoming year. Among the most awaited ones is the calendar of Dabboo Ratnani. This time Dabboo has come up with his calendar featuring the brightest Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar, Kangna Ranaut, Sushmita Sen, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Kajol, Riteish Deshmukh and Deepika Padukone. The calendar has Kajol in her ‘bindaas’ self atop a Mumbai taxi in a flaming red dress. Deepika Padukone is an all different look with her warrior queen avatar with a designer sword. Riteish Deshmukh looks awesomely striking with his Beatles-inspired sixties’ black and white look. Sajnay Dutt looks deadly behind the wheels of the gleaming red Ferrari.
Says Dabboo about his work, “I have not restricted myself to any dramatic theme for 2009. Some are in black and white, some are in reds while the rest are in vivid colors,” says Dabboo who begins work on his annual ritual in September every year. “Initially, I used to collect snaps of the stars I had shot and put them together for the calendar. But later, I began shooting them exclusively for it.”

Sanjay Dutt - Ekta Kapoor War!!

Sanjay Dutt - Ekta Kapoor War!!

(NSI News Source Info) December 28, 2008: Sanjay Dutt is miffed with Ekta Kapoor and her Balaji production for breaking up ties with his production house and aligning with his foe Sanjay Gupta’s White Feathers.

Sanjay Dutt had broken all his relations with Sanjay Gupta last year and did not want Ekta Kapoor to have ties with Gupta after breaking up with his own production house.

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that due to this anger, Sanjay Dutt has gone on a movie and star signing spree for his production house so as to make things difficult for the new partnership between Ekta and Gupta.

Sanjay Dutt has signed stars from Big B to Zayed Khan for his upcoming projects. This means these stars will have to block dates for Sanju’s project and won’t find it easy to work for Ekta-Gups project.

Sources from Sanjay Dutt’s camp have also alleged that Sanju was not paid for his special appearance in Balaji’s ‘C Kkompany’ , while Balaji people say that a BMW had been gifted to Dutt in lieu of his remuneration of the film.

Salman patches up with Sanjay Dutt

Salman patches up with Sanjay Dutt

(NSI News Source Info) December 28, 2008: Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, who were not on talking terms for quite sometime, met up on the sets of Veer and poured their hearts out to each other.

A few days earlier when Salman heard Sanjay was shooting on an adjoining set at Film City, he decided to pay his estranged friend a visit.

"It's true Salman came all the way to Sanju's set. But when he realised Sanjay was shooting for Bunty Walia he quickly beat a retreat," said a source.

Walia, it must be remembered, was a Salman groupie until a few years ago when things soured between them. And now Salman doesn't want to see Bunty's face.

"So he (Salman) turned back from his meeting with Sanjay. When Sanjay heard about this, he took charge of the situation. On Thursday afternoon, he walked up to Salman's set and spent a good 45 minutes with his old friend. "

The ice between them broke the minute they hugged each other. They spoke about everything under the sun, except films," the source said.

At the end of the reunion, Sanjay and Salman, who teamed up in hit movie Sajan, decided to do a film together. The two will be coming together in a film to be produced by Sanjay.

So what had gone wrong between Salman and his erstwhile mentor and role model?

The two were thick as thieves until a world tour where Salman apparently cut his hand to impress Sanjay, but it didn't go down well with the senior actor.

Soon after this incident in the US, Sanjay had said: "I wish he would model himself on my better qualities. I do have many good qualities. Salman should keep a low profile and work hard and get serious in life. All the playing around isn't finally worth it. Ultimately all of us want to be remembered as good hardworking human beings. The hit-and-run incident wouldn't have made such a media splash if it wasn't Salman Khan. But because he has been constantly in the news he went to jail and had to suffer. Being rash and brash in life is finally self-defeating."

Having come to terms with his own rashness and brashness Salman seems to be mending the bridges with old friends. Sanjay was on top of his list.

"They met like nothing had gone wrong between them and have promised to meet up regularly," the source said.
