In beauty and style, Katrina Kaif looked sublime in a white tiered-petal BCBGMAXAZRIA cocktail dress unveiling Filmfare’s new issue on Wednesday, December 8.

The magazine’s issue features Katirina and her Tees Maar Khan co-star Akshay Kumar on its cover.

Katrina, 26, wore a bustier dress with a sweetheart neckline, pleating at center bust and tiered petals with ruffled tulle at skirt. She accessorized with purple satin heels with rhinestone detail on top and pearl drop earrings. Her hair was styled in loose waves and teased top. Red lipstick, plenty of eyelashes, thick eyeliner on lids and pink eyeshadow rounded her alluring looks.

No Problem Review – Fultoo Problem Hai

No Problem Review – Fultoo Problem Hai

By raam

Written & Directed by: Anees Bazmee
Produced by: Anil Kapoor,Rajat Rawail
Cinematography: Bobby Singh
Editing: Prashant Singh Rathore
Music: Pritam
Cast: Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Kangana Ranaut, Ranjeet, Mukesh Tiwari, Suresh Menon, Neetu Chandra, Vijay Raaz

Grade: D: Bakwaas ;)

Anees Bazmee who’s delivered hits like No Entry, Welcome and Singh is Kinng in the recent past puts together a massive star cast and has come up with his latest offering No Problem. With so many actors in the mix, one would expect a star studded hungama. The previous hits of Anees Bazmee belonged to the Comedy genre and he sticks to his previous formula once again in the new film. So, is it any better than his previous works?

Plot: The movie set in South Africa opens with Suniel Shetty and his henchmen robbing the minister of his diamonds. The robbery is in fact a conspiracy of the minister who promises to pay Suniel Shetty his share. Paresh Rawal is the owner of a bank in a small village in South Africa who is saved from gorillas by Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna. So, he takes them two to his house to lodge them for a night. The next day, the two rob the bank and flee for which, Paresh Rawal is accused. So now, he sets off to Durban (he finds about the two with the bag they leave behind)in hunt for these two thieves, Akshaye and Sanjay. Enters Anil Kapoor, who is a cop in the Durban Police trying to catch Suniel Shetty and put him behind bars for stealing the diamonds. The rest of the story is about recovering the diamonds with a whole lot of the usual Bollywood masala.

Direction: The script is loosely based on the lines of the English film SNATCH. Bazmee who has also written the dialogues and co-written the screenplay of the film fails in delivering a coherent story. Anees Bazmee who’s strongest asset is delivering comedy in his movies fails miserably in his latest attempt. The film which is supposed to tickle the funny bone leaves one wondering about the slapstick situations used to create humor.

Anees Bazmee has always been fascinated with the films from down South. We get to see the same in a couple of scenes (from the Telugu movies Athadu and Super) which he has directly lifted.

Music: The music by Pritam is totally below average. There is a lot of Punjabi mix in the songs. Songs actually are just speed breakers in this so-so affair. Shakira features in one of the songs as well but, ironically goes completely unnoticed.

Cinematography, Editing and Sets have nothing much to boast about. The animatronics sequence in the climax using gorillas is a complete waste.

Performances: Anees Bazmee just did not know how to use such a huge star cast. All the actors including the experienced ones like Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Suniel Shetty, Shakti kapoor and Paresh Rawal are wasted in their roles. Anil Kapoor as such should have never agreed to play the kind of role he’s been offered (leave alone producing the film). Others like Mukesh Tiwari, Ranjeet, Suresh Menon have no substantial roles to perform. One can seriously laugh about Sushmita Sen’s split personality which after a point of time only gets irritating. Kangana Ranaut is only a mere come and go. Neetu Chandra has nothing to offer. Vijay Raaz plays a cameo which is a complete waste for such a talented actor.

The film is a complete no-no if you are planning to have a funny weekend. Sorry! Bazmee saab, is baar aapne hasaye nahin balki rulaye.

Janta janarthan ka kya grade hai????

Review: Band Baaja Baraat in ‘dhinchak style’

Review: Band Baaja Baraat in ‘dhinchak style’

By, Neharika

Director & Writer: Maneesh Sharma
Producer: Aditya Chopra
Cinematography: Aseem Mishra
Editor: Namrata Rao
Music: Salim-Sulaiman
Cast: Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh

Grade:B: Paisa Vasool :)

A coke in the right and a bucket of pop corn in my left hand, I was prepared to view another mushy and melodramatic flick of Yash Raj Films. Seated among a hand full of audience, the movie didn’t seem to be all that promising. I slunk further into my seat and braced myself for the movie.

The result is a frothy, feel-good flick, with loads of band baaja. Well, the movie couldn’t have released at a better time than this, December being the wedding season.

The ambitious Shruti Kakkar (Anushka Sharma) sets her eyes on becoming a wedding-planner. Being in the shaadi business for 3 years (part time) and having a blueprint of her dream company “Shaadi Mubarak” ready, Shruti is all set to enter the market for marriage planning with one golden rule in it: “Jisse vyapaar karo, usse kabhi na pyaar karo.”

Introducing Bittoo Sharma (Ranveer Singh), who, after a failed attempt to pair up with Ms Kakkar in college, decides to pair up with her in bijness instead, the foremost reason being to escape from his father’s not-so-grand plans for him – becoming a farmer. Bittoo being the carefree wannabe with no future plans is the complete opposite of Shruti.

As expected out of Bollywood, fate gets the duo together setting up their own wedding planning company ‘Shaadi Mubarak’, which turns out to be a huge success. Their bijness starts of catering to middle-class marriages and later upgrades to elite weddings. The film touches the peak just before the interval, with an unexpected twist. Over looking the rule of “Jisse vyapaar karo, usse kabhi na pyaar karo,” the practical girl falls in love with the bratty boy.

INTERVAL:

Refilling my popcorn and this time with a sprite in my hand, I dashed into the hall not wanting to miss a single moment.

As the story unwraps itself, differences crop up between the two. Bittoo being a commitment freak, begins to feel awkward in Shruti’s presence and hence, they fall apart. They go their own ways only to find themselves unsuccessful and debt ridden. Fate not being so harsh on them, the duo soon find themselves together planning a big fat wedding of the year.

Their love-hate story takes a twist with the girl’s fiancĂ©e inducing in the scene. Thankfully his presence remains restricted to phone-calls. Just before the climax, Shruti gives Bittoo her piece of mind which is very well-worded and is sensible.

The casting is bang on target with newcomer, Ranveer, slipping into his character of a ‘hinglish’ speaking U.P. boy with remarkable ease. He undoubtedly has the best punch lines in the movie and matches it up with a good measure of realistic acting and some cool moves on the dance floor. Anushka Sharma is brilliant in her bold and beautiful character. Sometimes her expressions do seem exaggerated and unreal. But overall, she does a very commendable job as a girl torn between her feelings and her ambitions. Their sizzling chemistry does set the screen on fire a few times.

The movie seemed a little prolonged during the first half but post interval, it was smooth and crisp with the right mix of drama and romance. The songs are peppy and hummable, especially ‘ainvaiyain ainvaiyain’ and ‘dum dum’.

The movie, as a whole is worth a watch and sure makes a good family entertainment.

Kim K is Looking Healthy

Kim K is Looking Healthy

Kim Kardashian was on Live With Regis and Kelly recently, but let's face it - no one cares about what she was actually doing in New York. The only thing I... I mean people... care about is her ridiculous curvy body. She was intent on showing it off, too, by wearing one of the tightest dresses known to man.

It's good to see that Kim is keeping up with her appearance, even after she got Reggie Bush'd. Most girls would just let themselves go after being cheated on and dumped, but not my Kimmy. She is, more than ever, deserving of a special little treat that I'm making for her. In my pants.

“He missed her. Cameron is really a lot of fun and Alex always had a good time with her,” an unnamed friend told HollywoodLife.

“‘He called her and asked her to get together and at first Cameron said, ‘no’, But after a long conversation he finally convinced her to meet with him. For now, it looks like all is forgiven.”
