(NSI News Source Info) December 27, 2008: Coming out on top in the battle of Christmas Day movie releases, Jennifer Aniston’s dog-based drama “Marley & Me” beat out Brad Pitt’s age-defying film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” at the box office on Thursday (December 25).
With the preliminary numbers just in, Miss Aniston’s film was the top grossing release of the day with $14.6 million in ticket sales, while her ex-hubby’s fantasy flick came in second at $11.8 million.

Meanwhile, other notable releases on Christmas Day were Adam Sandler’s “Bedtime Stories,” which came in third with $10.4 million in sales. “Bedtime Stories” was followed by Tom Cruise’s Nazi film “Valkyrie,” which made $8.5 million.
