Unlike an Aamir Khan who actually took generous swigs of vodka to enact his drunken act in 'Raja Hindustani', VB preferred to extend her acting skills to the fullest.

Voilà! Insiders who witnessed the rushes, couldn't believe that Balan hadn't so much as sniffed a droplet of whiskey.Guess, Balan's merely a spirited star.

As soon as Vivek made an entry, Aishwarya looked very angry, to avoid any bad moments the organziers shifted Vivek to another auditorium. When Vivek came out of the auditorium to go to loo, media asked him whether he was invited and he said, “The Movie is still on, Mr. Bachchan is fantastic.”
Aishwarya looked very displeased and was seen talking to Abhi loudly in a miffed voice saying, “Who is leading us upstairs, are you taking us?” and forced Abhi towards the auditorium by the hand. Aishwarya’s displeasure continued after the flick, as she avoided talking with guests, that’s when Abhi held her by shoulders and said “Baby” and made her talk to director Ram Gopal Varma.
Ramu did not had any clue about Vivek’s presence at the movie.

(NSI News Source Info) My Desk YYZ - January 30, 2010: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was in the capital to attend the premier of his latest movie Rann, said he was moved to tears after a thunderous applause by the audience in the middle of the film.
"I cannot remember it happening to me in recent times, nor in times past, an audience applause in the middle of my film, at the end of a scene or dialogue. But it happened tonight at the premier of Rann," Big B wrote on his blog.
Rann, which releases today, is directed by Ram Gopal Verma and sees Bachchan portraying a media baron Vijay Harshvardhan Malik who fights for upholding journalistic principles.
"A thunderous and prolonged applause at the end of a scene that I perform towards the end of the film, moved me to tears. And then when the lights came on the excited acknowledgement from an entire multiplex (not like the one in the Mall at Bangalore), the emotions kept becoming deeper and stronger," the 67-year-old actor wrote.
Rann depicts the rat race for TRPs in the growing electronic media in the country while giving ethics the go by and Bachchan admits he was moved by the genuine applause, which is rarely seen in today's times.
"The varied and different kind of cinema that we are all used to may perhaps never give occasion to a moment of genuine applause at the end of a given performance, but when it happens we accept it and allow the world to pass by. Perhaps it is not our culture or our ethics," he wrote.
The movie also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Gul Panag and Paresh Rawal in leading roles.

An elated Kangana said, “There’s a mini-celebration in my house, though my parents were crying when they heard about it. At 23 I seem to have cracked the highest cultural award for the country. What more can I do? I should just pack up and go back to my home in Himachal now with my parents.”
Not only her parents, but her fans too are overjoyed at her achievement. In fact, a Delhi-based fan of hers, Sameer, sent her a huge gift hamper to congratulate her for her National Award win. The hamper contained three boxes – one that had 22 wine bottles, one with 22 cakes of different types and sizes, and one with 22 accessories like earrings, bangles, bracelets, etc.
Attached to the gift hamper was a note from the fan which read, “22 because you are 22-year-old and a National Award is no mean achievement at such a young age.”
What more can a 22 year old actress ask for?

So, when Rakhi Sawant comes up with her first production venture under her banner Faith Inc., something or the other had to crop up. It went as such that censor board has objections to the word ‘Kamini’ in the song ‘Bhoot’ from IshQ Bector’s album. However, Rakhi is in no mood to do away with the word. Instead, she has given a week’s time to Censor Board and has threatened to go on a ‘Bhookh Hartaal’, if they do not give in.
Rakhi says, “I’ll wait for a week and then I go on a bhookh hartaal in front of the Censor office. I’ve sent a legal notice to the Censor Board. This is the first time something like this has happened. The members of the Board have done me an injustice by deleting the word ‘kamini’ from my song. Dharmendra has been saying the word ‘kaminey’ for years. Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey came, were they asleep? If Rakhi Sawant sings Kamini Tera Bhoot Chad Gaya Re, they get stung. The song has been produced by my company Faith Inc. and I’m being damaged.”
Questioning about the vulgarity of the word ‘Kamini’ she says, “Kyon? In the trailers of Ishqiya they show Vidya Balan punch-drunk on television, and that too in a saree. Is that allowed in our culture? Ladkiyan khule-aam choli utaar rahi hai.
What was Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai? What were they asking? We all know what’s behind the choli. If that can be air played for years why can’t my song be telecast?
In serials, we have men dragging their wives by their hair muttering. ‘Kamini main tujhe chodunga nahin.’ No one pays any attention. Why point a finger at me? Stop all the malpractice on television and I too will shut up.”
This is the first time, someone has challeneged censor board with a ‘Bhookh Hartaal’, but talking about Rakhi, we aren’t much surprised. Are we?

But the ghost of it still haunts the stars. The Bishnoi community and wildlife activists are agitated over actor Saif Ali Khan being honoured with a Padma Shir by the govt.
The notorious killing of black bucks had hit the headlines in 1998 in Jodhpur and the case is still under trial. Salman Khan was even jailed in the case for the shooting of the endangered species. The wildlife activists are planning to appeal to the Union government against the decision. The Bishnoi Tiger Vanyajeev Evam Paryavaran Sansthan (BTVPS) said they will soon to write to the President and the Prime Minister protesting against the decision.
People for Animals also expressed their regret on the Union Government’s decision to honour an accused. The organization is now planning to approach the Union minister for forests and environment, Jairam Ramesh saying that this decision is hurting the self-respect of the award as well as the spirit of the other deserving recipients.

“We did have a number of them in the first IPL and in the second, no Pakistani player was allowed to play. This year, we don’t have any more slot left. But if we had and they are made available legally, we would have loved to have them,” the actor said.
“We had one slot this year and we took Shane Bond, because we needed a fast bowler. We would have loved to have any player from any country which would boost our team,” Shah Rukh said.
Lamenting the snub that the Pakistani player received in the January 19 auction, Shah Rukh Khan said they should have been welcomed.
“If there was any issue, that could have been solved in a fairly, nice manner. I believe my country stands for democracy and goodness and we should invite everyone.
“I never involve myself in politics — in films or in sports. We are a wonderful democratic, happy an secular country and that’’s how it should be,” he said.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta pulled off a stunt by jumping off the wall of a toilet at the Delhi airport after she got stuck inside there for more than 10 minutes.
“Spent 10 minutes stuck in the toilet at the airport…Finally had to climb the wall and jump over… People were calling out my name,” Preity posted on her Twitter page on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old says she felt she would die in there, but managed to escape.
“Thought I was going to die as I am claustrophobic. Pulled a muscle in my arm…,” she added.
She says her tomboy attitude helped her come out of the toilet.
“Being a tomboy when I was younger definitely helped. Trying to climb a wall is never easy. Phew! Happy to go home now,” she said.
