B&HGSG News: Australian Banker Caught Surfing Pics Keeps Job With Support From Model Miranda Kerr
(NSI News Source Info) My Desk YYZ - February 6, 2010: An Australian banker, who got caught surfing sexy pics on television, now has a Victoria’s Secret model on his side.
A Macquarie bank adviser was perusing some seminude photos of Miranda Kerr earlier this week, oblivious to the live interview taking place just behind him.
The banker, David Keily, became a YouTube sensation and the incident sparked a “Save Dave” campaign from the financial Web site Here is the City News after speculation that he could lose his job.
One of his biggest supporters is the woman in the photos, Miranda Kerr. The 26-year-old Australian-born model came to Keily’s defense.
"I am told there is a petition to save his job, and, of course, I would sign it," Kerr told news.com.au.
Macquarie Bank announced today that Kiely would not lose his job.
"He will remain an employee of Macquarie," the bank said in a statement. "Macquarie and the employee apologize for any offense that may have been caused."
