As predicted, DEV D is turning out to be a winner. After an (expected) slow start at the box office, the film started showing better collections as Friday progressed. Anurag Kashyap has got it right this time around and won over his prime audience - youth. Made at a nominal budget (under 10 crores), the film will break even in its 10 day run itself. Since collections are seeing an increase with every passing day (Friday was decent, Saturday was good and Sunday too has opened on a heartening note) with positive word of mouth and great reviews contributing immensely, DEV D is all set to be second success of 2009 after RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES. Feedback has been mainly positive all over, whether North or South of India. Though family audiences won't really warm up to the film due to it's strong adult content, it won't harm the prospects of DEV D since it's a kind of 'blockbuster' film that needs 50 crores to break even!
