(NSI News Source Info) December1, 2008: If reports are to be believed, Akshay Kumar has charged a mammoth sum just for lending his voice to the animation film Jumbo .
With the confidence of Bollywood producers dwindling in Salman Khan – he has had three duds in a row ( God Tussi Great Ho , Hello and Yuvvraaj ) – it is Akshay Kumar, the most bankable star at box-office, who is making hay now that the sun is shining bright on him.
Though Akshay has always refused to talk about the acting fee he charges, the industry buzz says the actor is creating a new record as far as his remuneration goes.
Reportedly, Akki has been paid a mammoth amount of Rs. 9 crore to dub for the character of an elephant in the Percept Picture Company’s (PPC) upcoming animation film ‘Jumbo’. On top of it, the actor will get half the profit that the film makes.

In return, Akshay will complete the shooting of PPC’s stalled project Eight By Ten which is being directed by Nagesh Kukunoor . The movie has been stuck on the floors since last year due to some irreconcilable differences between Akshay and Kukunoor.
The film is a psychological thriller starring Akshay as a man with amazing mental powers. It is believed that the film is inspired from Manoj Night Shyamalan’s ‘Unbreakable’.
