After gifting three duds to Rani Mukherji with Ta Ra Rum Pum, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Aditya Chopra is adamant that the actress should bounce back into the limelight. In talks Chopra Jr, the talk goes, wanted to rope in Akshay Kumar for one more film, after Tashan, with the Yash Raj banner. Rani Mukherji would be the film’s solo heroine. But a source states that Akshay Kumar is not keen on working with Rani Mukherji. Reason: when he wasn’t too hot a star, she had rejected roles with him in Tanuja Chandra’s Sangharsh and Vikram Bhatt’s Awara Pagal Deewana. Meanwhile, Chopra has green-signalled another film with Rani Mukherji, pairing her with Shahid Kapur. This project will be directed by Anurag Singh.
