July 23, 2008: Bipasha Basu is certainly in mood to exude some heat out there. If her piping hot act in Race wasn't good enough (songs from the film continue to blaze on while the DVD sales have been tremendous as well), Bips is continuing to be unstoppable. From seducing the likes of Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna, she is all set to romance Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Ae Haseeno, which is generating quite some excitement with every passing day. While Deepika Padukone kick started the film's campaign with a tremendous composition by Vishal-Shekhar, 'Khuda Jaane', the focus has now shifted to Bipasha Basu who is seen searching for her 'Lucky Boy'. Though there are no prizes for guessing that this lucky boy is no one but Ranbir himself, what impresses most in this funky number (rightly titled 'Lucky Boy') is Bipasha who towers above everyone else in the frame.
Gyrating to some seductive beats while being draped in attire, which is as oomphy as it gets, Bipasha results in soaring temperatures, courtesy some innovative choreography and catchy picturisation.A club/lounge track that has Sunidhi Chauhan and Raja Hassan (of 'Maari Teetri - De Taali' fame) rendering their parts, 'Lucky Boy' sees Raja provide a Punjabi folk feel to the number. The song is inherently a club track where Hard Kaur too makes an appearance in the middle of the number. However, if at all the song is remembered in the long run, it would be due to Sunidhi's voice which drips of seduction at all ends.A classy track, which reminds of an erstwhile composition of Vishal-Shekhar, 'Mind Blowing Maahiya' [CASH], 'Lucky Boy' indeed is one lucky number that has resulted in an enhanced curiosity for this Siddharth Anand film.A YRF production, Bachna Ae Haseeno is all set to arrive on 15th August, a week after Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer Singh Is Kinng.
