Dharmendra returns after a hiatus
July 31, 2008 - (Mumbai): Noted actor Dharmendra, who is recuperating from a knee surgery, says that he is a man of spirits and raring to go.Talking to reporters after launching the music of his home production Chamku, starring his son Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra, Dharmendra said he will be seen in two forthcoming films from his banner - Vijeta films, one with Bobby which will go on floors soon and Masters with Sunny and Bobby.Chamku directed by Kabeer Kaushik and starring Irrfan Khan, Danny, Riteish Deshmukh, Arya Babbar, Rajpal Yadav apart from the lead pair of Bobby and Priyanka is set for release on August 22."I feel blessed that with the prayers and good wishes of my immediate family and the film fraternity, I am back," he said.To a question on whether Vijeta films will make movies only with the Deols or encourage new talent as well, Dharmendra said: "I see myself in all newcomers. I have introduced new talent through my production company earlier like Amrita Singh, Twinkle Khanna and directors like Imtiaz Ali and Raj Kumar Santoshi."Speaking about Chamku, Dharmendra said the film depicts the journey of a boy called Chandrama Singh alias Chamku whose family has been brutally murdered. Brought up and trained by Naxalites in Southern Bihar, he moves to Mumbai and gets picked up under a covert programme jointly conceived by RAW and IB and is trained to kill.Suddenly love enters his life and makes him realise that life is indeed beautiful. Chamku has to take a call on whether to look to the future or dwell into his past.
