Shilpa Shetty in English film called 'Desire'(NSI News Source Info) November 12, 2008: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is all set to work in her first English film, titled ‘Desire’. The movie, to be directed by Sarath Kumar, will have Shilpa pairing up with Chinese star Xia Yu who became the youngest actor to win the Best Actor award at Venice Film Festival for his very first film ‘In The Heat Of The Sun’ in 1994.‘Desire’ will go on the floors from December onwards and will be released in 2009. The movie will also be dubbed in China and will reportedly have its premiere in Shanghai.
Meanwhile, Shilpa has put her plans to produce a big-budget chick flick on the backburner. The lanky actress had finalized Bipasha Basu as one of the female leads in the film. But the project has been postponed, if not shelved, because of financial issues.Rather than production, Shilpa is now shifting her focus back to acting. She is now open to accept more offers and she has been getting them by dozens every week.
